Handheld Ripple FX
The Ripple FX features a ripple glass texture that creates an organic "fluid like" effect when held in front of your lens! The effect is reminiscent of step printing & slow shutter in camera effects. The handheld filter also features a center hole cutout that allows you to keep your subject in focus, and have the effect surround your subject!
Ripple Distortion Effect
Like the name suggests, the Ripple FX creates a fluid like distortion effect when held in front of your lens. The handheld design and center cut hole give you full creative control on how you drive the effect!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between 2 Versions?
The Handheld Ripple FX features a center cutout which is designed to help you keep your center subject in focus & have the ripple effect only effect the surrounding parts of your image.
The Handheld Ripple FX - Full version allows you to fully apply the ripple effect to your entire image! One of our favotite use cases for this version is using it to create an in camera "liquid" transitions between shots by completly wiping the entire filter across your lens.
Both create the same "ripple" effect, it just depends on what exact look you are going for!
What is the difference between the 100mm and 150mm?
It is the same filter, same effect, just different sizes. The 100mm is great for smaller setups with lenses that range from 49mm-95mm. When using larger cinema setups with matteboxs, we recommend the larger 150mm version!
What aperture should I use for best results?
We always recommend shooting with a shallow aperture (F2-F4) for the best results! Shooting with a deeper aperture will result in a reduced effect.
What lens focal length should I use?
The Ripple FX filter works with all focal lengths, but the effect can be increased or decreased depending on your focal length!
Wider lenses tend to create a reduced effect
Telephoto lenses tend to create an increased effect
