Our Studio Locations

Why we own studios?

Before founding Prism Lens FX in 2018, Tom & Jakob spent nearly a decade shooting hundreds of music videos for indipenedent artists. In that span of time, they found themselves shooting at every major studio location in Los Angeles... and one day decided to make their own! Fastforward to 2025 Tom & Jakob own & operate 6+ studio locations in California & Arizona!

The Barracks (Los Angeles)

The Barracks is a 10,000sqft warehouse location in Los Angeles with 12+ sets ranging from an apartment set, an liquor store facade, an interogation room, to so much more! This is our most popular location and has been the backdrop to 1000's of productions over 6+ years!

Not only is our 1990's inspired video store our Los Angeles store where you can purchase and pick up Prism Lens FX products in person, but it is a fully built out set that can be rented for your next video or photo shoot!

We built out an underground grungy concert venue set in the heart of Los Angeles. This set was designed with with grit, graffiti, & texture that make it feel like a venue that has been around for decades. This set also includes a greenroom and a grungy bathroom set!

Abandoned Cellblock Set (Los Angeles)

Our Abandoned Jail Cellblock set features 3 fully functional jail cells with sliding doors, a bed, sink & toilet, and includes overhead lighting. This set also incldue a lineup wall, an interogation room, a police dectives set, and a phone visitation room!

The Honeymoon Inn is a deconstructed mid century house built with 10+ standing sets. Each set features meticulously curated period accurate props and furniture that help sell the illusion of being in a 1970's mid century house!

Coming up shooting music videos, we found ourselves looking for vintage motels sets, but the best ones were hours away in the middle of the desert. This lead us to design and build our own from the ground up! Our set feautres a motel bedroom & bathroom along with a front office set!

The idea of this set came about because of the red tape involved to permit and shoot in an actual church. We decided to build our own church from the ground up in a warehouse! This set features a full 360 church with pews, a conffesional booth, and a twin peaks inspired set!

One Take Studios was built to take everything that worked with our successful Los Angeles sets and bring it to Arizona. One Take Studios features 7000sqft with multiple sets, featuring a pre-lit RGB white cyc, a vintage diner, trap room, hospital, and a 1990's bedroom!
